this is a handmade home built with local renewable resources. the framing is dendrocalamus asper and guadua angustifolia (timber bamboos) . the roof is thatched with suita palm leaves.
local hardwoods were used in the floors and finished with linseed oil. most of the joinery utilizes hardwood pegs and hemp rope lashing. the living area is 885 square feet and there is another 105 square feet of porch below. the site was chosen to capture the ocean breezes which frequent the area.
